[ ugh OW; his back connects with the wall and he's temporarily winded, but he's coming after Raleigh again anyway, lunging to catch him around the middle. ]

Well shit.

A lot of the fight goes out of Raleigh in an instant. He's not trying to hand Chuck his ass but rather trying to just contain him and set boundaries and way to fucking use your head, Becket. Chuck might be drunk but that's not all of what's going on here.]

[ He's trying to wrestle out of Raleigh's grip, not to hit him again, just to -- get away from him, far enough away so that Raleigh can't land another blow and Chuck isn't too fucking close for comfort. ]

Didn't know my dad had to choose, did you? Had to pick one or the other while Sydney burned? Didn't know he picked me over her, eh?

[It just gets worse the more Chuck talks, holy shit. Usually Raleigh would say that his day gets worse whenever Chuck Hansen opens his mouth but this is a different kind of worse. Not like he wants Chuck to stop talking but oh my God, he didn't know it was that bad. And then he feels nothing but sympathy for the other pilot and that makes him uncomfortable at the same time.

He's struggling but obviously not as much as Chuck. He lets go of the Australian and tries not to stare at him but he knows that he is.]

[ He pushes himself back and away, breath coming hard, eyes accusing and angry and glaring and red-rimmed and fucking hell he's drunk, pissed, and he both wants to beat the ever loving crap out of Raleigh and flee at the same time. ]

[Raleigh doesn't want either of those things to happen, for the record. If they could avoid that and don't ask him why he doesn't want Chuck to run off right now because then he'd have to admit that he's worried the idiot will do something stupid and get himself hurt.]
